The webinar ‘Biological control of the invasive spiked acacia: where do we stand?’ will take place on Zoom, featuring researchers from the RESCUE project, to mark Ecology Day (organised by SPECO).

The talk will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A and discussion, and is open to anyone interested.

Portugal has been repeatedly ravaged by extremely violent wildfires, which, year after year, destroy vast areas of flora and fauna. Far from being inevitable or isolated events, they form part of a ‘slow disaster’: the result of decades, and even centuries, of an exploitative economic relationship with the forest.

On the upcoming Ecology Day, September 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Coimbra Botanical Garden will once again open its doors to science with another edition of “There’s Science in the Garden.”

Throughout the morning, researchers from the CFE will share their work with the public, covering a variety of topics.

ANI is organizing two workshops dedicated to preparing proposals for Horizon Europe—Budget Preparation—aimed at organizations that are preparing proposals for the 2026/27 calls for proposals.
