The TERRA Associate Laboratory condemns any manifestations that may constitute abuse of power, moral and sexual harassment, inappropriate conduct, conflicts of interest, corruption and related offenses, discrimination, fraud, theft, and misuse of TERRA resources, among other practices that violate the rights of members of the TERRA Community, the interests of TERRA, or that may negatively affect TERRA’s image, assuming a firm commitment to act in accordance with and in proportion to the circumstances of each reported situation.
The TERRA Associated Laboratory, consisting of five Research Units, redirects complaints to the respective existing reporting channels. These reporting channels comply with the provisions of Article 8 of the General Regime for the Prevention of Corruption (RGPC) and the terms of the General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers (RGPDI).
In order to enable an appropriate analysis of the complaint, it is essential that it be presented in a detailed and objective manner, providing a description of the facts, the dates or periods of time covered, the locations where they occurred, the persons and/or entities involved, and other elements considered relevant.
Under the terms of the RGPDI, a whistleblower is defined as a natural person who reports a violation based on information obtained in the course of their professional activities.

The University of Coimbra offers two types of reporting channels:
– Confidential reporting – the confidentiality of the reporter is guaranteed, and the personal data provided by the reporter is processed in accordance with the provisions of the RGPDI, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, and in accordance with the legal information provided and the informed consent given;
– Anonymous report – no personal data is collected from the reporter, who submits the report anonymously.

When you submit your complaint*, a “ticket” number will be automatically generated. You should keep this number in a safe place throughout the entire process, as it is the means by which you can check and track the status of your complaint, as well as send communications.
All communications regarding the status of your complaint will be sent through this platform, which you can access using your reference number/ticket.
