Pollination and Pollinators

It is estimated that around 80% of flowering plants in temperate ecosystems depend in some way on pollination by animals, especially insects. In agriculture, 75% of major food crops, such as fruits, nuts, vegetables, coffee, chocolate, and almonds, need pollinators to ensure production.
