TERRA Hosts Final Event of the ACORNDEW Project at Instituto Superior de Agronomia

The TERRA Associate Laboratory will host the final seminar of the ACORNDEW research project on May 9, 2025, in the Sala de Atos of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA). This event marks an essential opportunity to share scientific results and discuss strategies aimed at promoting the sustainable management of forests and natural resources, with a particular focus on inland regions of the country.

Sustainability and Innovation in the Montesinho Natural Park

Under the theme “Promoting Sustainability in the Montesinho Natural Park through Innovation: Valorization of Acorns and Honeydew Honey”, the seminar will bring together researchers, producers, and policymakers for a dynamic discussion on innovative solutions and the creation of new high-value-added chains.

Honeydew honey and acorns are highlighted as strategic products whose valorization may contribute to the economic and environmental resilience of rural communities. The event aims to showcase the progress achieved within the scope of the ACORNDEW project and to pave the way for future collaborations and practical applications.

Two Sessions Dedicated to Sustainability

The seminar will take place across two sessions:

April 5, 2025, at the Dionísio Gonçalves Auditorium, Escola Superior Agrária de Bragança.
May 9, 2025, in the Sala de Atos, Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA), Lisbon.
