Completed her PhD in Landscape Architecture in 1997 at the University of Lisbon Instituto Superior de Agronomia. She was a Professor at the ISA and IST of the University of Lisbon in the area of Spatial Planning. Supervised several projects or components of research projects. Authored or co-authored 12 articles in specialised journals. Published 10 book chapters, 7 books and edited 2 books. Supervised 7 PhD theses and has 3 theses in progress. Supervised 4 pre-Bologna and 6 post-Bologna Master’s theses. Supervised 42 theses and co-supervised 16 pre-Bologna final course (5 Years of studies) theses. Presented more than 140 public communications. Received 1 prize.
