Eduarda Pires Valente da Silva Marques da Costa

Eduarda Marques da Costa, born in Lisbon in 1966, PhD in Geography-Spatial Planning in 2001, is a senior researcher and full professor in the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of University of Lisbon. She teaches Geography and Spatial Planning since 1990, and she is a researcher in the Centre of Geographical Studies, since 1987. In the evaluation of public policies, monitoring and impact assessment domains, Eduarda participated in a large number of DGRegio and Urban and national entity contracts. Concerning FCT projects, she coordinated the National Project “SPOTIA: Sustainable Spatial Policy Orientations and Territorial Impact Assessment Contribution to Portuguese context” (PTDC/CS-GEO/105452/2008 to the Ministry of Science and Technology, 2009-2013) and the study “Sustainable Urban Form: Methodological Approach to Portugal”, [PTDC/GEO/69109/2006-Geografia, CEG with the collaboration of to General Direction of Urban and Land Management and National Laboratory of Civil Engineering, 2008-2013).
