TERRA researchers distinguished at the "Prémios Científicos Universidade de Lisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos 2023"

Researchers Isabel Sousa (LEAF), Paulo Branco (CEF) and António Manuel Saraiva Lopes (CEG) were distinguished in this year’s edition of the “Prémios Científicos Universidade de Lisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos”, an initiative that aims to reward scientific research activity and international publication of high quality and impact.

At the Awards Ceremony, which took place in the Great Hall of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, 40 Teachers and Researchers from the various scientific areas of the University of Lisbon were awarded. Researcher Isabel Sousa was awarded a Prize in the scientific area “Agronomia (incluindo Silvicultura e Tecnologia dos Alimentos)” and researchers Paulo Branco and António Manuel Saraiva Lopes received honorable mentions in the scientific area “Agronomia (incluindo Silvicultura e Tecnologia dos Alimentos)” and in the scientific area “Geografia e Território (Geografia Física e Humana, Território, Urbanismo e Planeamento e Sistemas de Transportes)”, respectively.

The “Prémios Científicos Universidade de Lisboa/Caixa Geral de Depósitos” bring these two institutions together annually to reward scientific research activity and encourage the practice of publishing in international journals of recognized quality.
