Jorge Gominho

Jorge Gominho (h-index=36; 3,905 citations; Orcid ID:0000-0003-3419-6075) is a researcher at the Centro de Estudos Florestais (CEF), Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA), University of Lisbon (UL). He holds a degree in Forest Engineering (1992), a M.Sc. in Engineering of Lignocellulosic Materials (1997), a Ph.D. in Forestry Engineering (2004) from the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA/UL), and a Habilitation in Forestry Engineering and Natural Resources (2018) from the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA/UL). He is a member of the Integrated Centre for Forest Studies (CEF), where he is a member and coordinates the ForTec research group, Forest Products and Biorefineries. The main research areas are biomass, bioenergy, and biorefineries. Overall career achievements: (i) 114 articles in peer-reviewed journals (3174 citations), awarded (2017) with Merit of Scientific Activity (honourable mention); (ii) 1 book (on E. globulus research); (iii) 7 book chapters; (iv) reviewer in different scientific journals (41), as guest editor of 3 special issues; (v) participation in 128 conferences, with oral or poster communications; (vi) coordinator (PI) of 3 national projects funded by FCT and participation as a team member in 5 international and 12 national projects; (vii) collaboration with different evaluation panels of national agencies such as FCT, ANI.
