Ana Filipa Filipe is a Auxiliar Researcher at Instituto Superior de Agronomia (Universidade de Lisboa). Completed her PhD in Ecology in 2010 by Universidade de Lisboa and graduated in Biology in 1998 by the same faculty. Published 48 articles indexed in Web of Science, 4 book chapters and 4 books. Ana Filipa is principal investigator of the project ‘AQUADAPT – Promoting riverine ecosystems resilient to climate change for a sustainable management ‘ (funded by Fundacion La Caixa; Promove PD20-00008), and was principal investigator of the project ‘FRESHING: Next-generation biomonitoring: freshwater bioassessment and species conservation improved with metagenomics’ (funded by FCT; PTDC/AAG-MAA/2261/2014), and participated as a researcher in 18 projects. Revised articles from more than 20 research ISI indexed journals. Ana Filipa is associate editor of Diversity and Distributions (DDI) and Frontiers Ecology and Evolution journals, and subject editor of Metabarcoding and Metagenomics (MbMg) journal. Gave 51 oral presentations in congresses, seminars and workshops. Organized 11 scientific events. Co-supervised 2 PhD thesis and 2 Master thesis, and supervises 1 Master thesis. Works in Natural Sciences with emphasis on Freshwater Ecology, Biodiversity Conservation and Evolutionary Biology. Also works as a scientific illustrator since 2000 and produces ilustrations and maps for science communication. She received 6 awards and honors.
